The 5th Conference on Advanced Materials for Frontier Applications jointly organized by SAMPE Beijing Branch and the 46th Institute of the Sixth Academy of CASIC in Hohhot. And the conference was concluded successfully on July 25th, 2025.

Dr. Johnny Zhou of Beijing Protech New Materials Science Co., Ltd. made a corresponding keynote report at the conference titled “Fiber Reinforced Composite Materials Application in the Aerospace Field,” which primarily introduced the application of high-performance fiber protective composite materials and high-performance 3D composite materials in the aerospace field. Based on the research on the protective mechanisms of composite materials and the mechanical properties of 3D honeycomb materials for many years, Protech proposed targeted solutions for applications such as body armor for pilots and astronauts, armor protection for aircrafts and spacecrafts, continuous fiber honeycomb composite materials, panels, shells, cases and domes, which would promote the continuous development of equipment toward lightweight, high-performance, multifunctional and low-cost.

The conference focused on cutting-edge technologies and industrial transformation in aerospace, armament and shipping industries. It featured presentations by industry experts, who reported on the latest advancements in advanced fiber materials, high-performance composites, preparation process technologies and engineering applications. The event served as a platform to foster communications across industry, academia, research and users.
